City Venue Management

With around 1,000 staff, City Venue Management operate and manage over 25 aquatic, leisure and sporting facilities throughout South East Queensland. While successful, the organisation still had plenty of potential to fulfil. At Casal, we helped CVM better understand their own business, which supported the discovery of empowering solutions. We also utilised several of CVM’s software platforms, and we developed a real-time dashboard (using PowerBI) that provided impactful insights. Through this enhanced, real-time information, CVM now have the confidence to make better, more timely decisions — and performance has significantly improved. By continuing to understand what makes this business great, we can carry on helping them realise a promising future.


Silk Laundry 


Nurturing a flourishing fashion house.

High-end fashion label Silk Laundry is becoming well-known as a brand focused on luxury, conscious living and philanthropy. At Casal, we’ve integrated ourselves deeply into the business, supplying the tools and knowledge that allow them to understand their current position, as well as their overall performance. On top of this, we provide a full-time financial controller and act as the label’s outsourced finance function. We’ve also helped Silk Laundry receive EMDG grants and cash flow support from Australian banks, Export Finance and overseas financiers — unlocking cash that became vital for the business’s growth. With us, Silk Laundry has continued to become a more well-established name within the industry, both nationally and overseas. Considering the challenging retail climate during the Covid-19 pandemic, this is a remarkable achievement.

As with most niche industries, compression sports clothing sits within an exciting yet competitive market. However, BASE Compression entered the game with a premium, high-quality product that showed true promise. To ensure they had the knowledge, resources and support to grow in the right way, we were brought in at the very beginning of the start-up’s journey. We worked with the principles of the business to understand their cash requirement and identify key aspects that would encourage success. We’re still a vital part of the brand, providing strategic advice, inventory management and cash restraints — as well as acting as an outsourced financial controller.
